5pm on Sundays – hosted at Mill City Church for all who’d like to join us.

This space is for those who desire a deeper encounter with Jesus in order to be sent into their week ready to experience God in their everyday spaces. No need to be a part of an Agile Network Church to join in – anyone is invited!

The experience: Encounter will feel both sacred and Spirit-filled. It won’t be polished like a Sunday morning liturgy but more like stepping into an open space expectant for how God might surprise you. We invite you to come with a posture of anticipation, courage and readiness as we let the Spirit guide our time.

The format: Extended musical worship, storytelling, engaging in spiritual practices, teaching that empowers those wanting to live the way of Jesus in tangible and practical ways.

Rhythms: Each week there will be musical worship that will also incorporate a core theme stemming from “up, in and out”:

Up – Love God:

     Abide – centering on Jesus’ love for us through prayer

     Create – engaging in creative practices to connect with the Creator

In – Love Others:

     Equip – engaging our mind to more deeply know God

     Testify – every day disciples sharing stories of seeing God move

Out – Love the World:

     Advocate – deepening understanding and interceding for an area of injustice in our community or world

     Catalyze – being commissioned to join God’s mission in our lives

Those who join us at Encounter are invited and encouraged to download Lectio 365 App as a way to focus on encountering God daily in prayer and listening. This will both prepare you for the gathering and center you throughout the week after you are sent out from the gathering.
